An American diplomat who police say was speeding crossed the center line in his SUV and rammed into a full mini-bus, killing a father of three whose widow is six months pregnant, officials said Friday.</div>

U.S. Embassy officials in Nairobi rushed the American and his family out of Kenya the next day, leaving the crash victims with no financial assistance to pay for a funeral and for hospital bills for the eight or so others who were seriously injured.</div>

Latifah Naiman Mariki, 38 and whose husband was killed in the crash, was almost evicted from her house this week after her landlord demanded rent. Mariki's deceased husband, Haji Lukindo, was the family's only source of income. Mariki told The Associated Press that neither the American driver nor anyone at the U.S. Embassy has contacted her, and she doesn't know how she will provide for her soon-to-be-born child and three children, ages 20, 10 and 7.</div>

"It is difficult for me to handle this matter because my kids need to go to school. They need everything, basic needs," Mariki said. "And we have no place to stay because we have to pay the rent. We have no money. ... Even if my kids are sick I have no money to take them to hospital."</div>

Hilary Renner, a State Department spokeswoman in Washington, said the embassy extends its deepest condolences Mariki's family and wishes a speedy recovery to those injured. She said she couldn't comment on whether embassy employee would return to Kenya.</div>

"The embassy is fully cooperating with the Kenyan authorities as they investigate the accident and work to aid the victims," she said.</div>

The American driver of the SUV, Joshua Walde, was an information management officer at the Nairobi embassy when he got in the crash on his way home the evening of July 11. He gave a statement to police but because he has diplomatic immunity he was not detained.</div>

A police dossier on the case shown briefly to an Associated Press reporter contained sketches of how police believe the accident happened. The sketch shows the American's SUV turning at a rounded four-way intersection on the edge of Nairobi and driving into the lane of oncoming traffic.</div>

Pictures in the dossier show that the SUV hit the front corner and side of the mini-bus, smashing in its frame. Kenyan mini-buses, known as matatus, also frequently drive fast and erratically.</div>

It's impressive that baby Jasleen was delivered without a C-section — but was it safe?</div>

Since entering the world at 13.47 pounds last Friday, baby Jasleen has made headlines and records. Jasleen was delivered vaginally at University Hospital in Leipzig, making her the largest baby in the country to be delivered without a cesarean section.</div>

However, while people have been cooing over the giant bundle of joy and marveling that her mother, Maria, delivered her vaginally, is it safe for a baby to be that large and be delivered without a C-section?</div>
<div>

The answer, generally speaking, is no. But the circumstances in this case are complicated by the reason behind baby Jasleen’s girth: Her mother had been suffering from an undiagnosed case of gestational diabetes.</div>
<div>

<div>
Gestational diabetes is usually tested for between 24 and 28 weeks of pregnancy. It is very treatable, often with just monitoring the mother’s blood sugar and bringing in diet and exercise changes. In fact, insulin medicine is recommended for only 10 to 20 percent of women with gestational diabetes, according to the Mayo Clinic.</div>

When it is left untreated, though, the extra glucose in the mother’s bloodstream crosses the placenta to trigger the baby’s pancreas to make insulin. As a result, the baby grows to an unhealthily large size, a condition known as fetal macrosomia, which is somewhat arbitrarily defined at a threshold of 8 pounds, 13 ounces — a threshold that Jasleen well exceeds.</div>

Generally, babies with fetal macrosomia are delivered via C-section. Due to their large size, there is greater likelihood for shoulder dystocia, which is when a baby’s shoulder cannot fit through the mother’s pelvis and the baby gets caught in the birth canal. Dr. Elizabeth G. Baxley and Dr. Robert W. Gobbo at the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) call it "one of the most frightening emergencies in the delivery room," in part because a trapped baby may not be able to breath.</div>

Yet, despite the evidence in favor of a C-section, the doctors at University Hospital were not necessarily wrong in their decision to naturally deliver Jasleen. According to a hospital statement by chief of obstetrics Holger Stepan, "We decided to try natural birth, as a child of this size [with] the excess weight of the mother, a cesarean section would have been associated with a significant risk." Though fairly routine, "C-sections can be risky for both the baby and the mother," notes James Fleur at Science Recorder. Possible problems include blood clots for the mother and breathing problems for the baby.</div>

Moreover, since Jasleen’s mother had never been previously treated at the hospital, the physicians were unaware of her gestational diabetes and likely could not anticipate how large a baby Jasleen would be. And it’s not unheard of to vaginally deliver a baby of that size. Just this March, British baby George King was delivered vaginally, clocking in at 15 pounds 7 ounces.</div>

At the moment, though, baby Jasleen is doing well and being cared for in the hospital’s neonatal unit. Her mother is also doing quite well, though still recovering from the shock of her big surpise. She told the Daily Mail, "I had no idea there was such a giant inside of me."</div>

Lauren Silverman managed a smile as she broke her cover and appeared in public for the first time since it was revealed she is pregnant with Simon Cowell's baby.</div>

The 36-year-old socialite was seen walking her seven-year-old son Adam down the driveway of the $4million family home in Bridgehampton, New York, where she has been staying since the baby news broke. </div>

Lauren's outing came as a friend of music mogul Cowell, who is worth an estimated £200million, insisted he will do everything he can to support and provide for his child.</div>

The friend told MailOnline: 'Simon has given all his exes houses - so of course he's going to be generous to his own child', adding that 'he has not even considered not looking after this baby.</div>

Despite Lauren and Adam's relatively good spirits as they were pictured, it is likely that the child will be the main issue in his parents' divorce case.</div>

However, Vanessa said that she thinks reports that Cowell could be called to the witness stand to reveal details of the alleged affair is unlikely.</div>

But it does seem more likely that he will have to reveal details of his personal wealth, estimated to be in the region of $350million.</div>

Vanessa added: 'It could be that in the fight between Lauren and Andrew, the financial circumstances debate would have to bring in Simon. </div>
<div>
'Andrew's team are likely to be saying that when you look at Lauren's needs, you have to take into account that Simon will be looking after her.'</div>

The friend added: 'Simon has been very stressed in the last few months with his various shows and juggling everything that he has in his life.'</div>

Cowell has so far maintained a stony silence on Twitter, with his last unrelated post coming on 30th July. </div>

However, in an interview in 2009, Cowell said: 'God, no. I couldn't have children. If I had them here drawing on the walls I'd go nuts.</div>

In a more recent interview in April this year, Cowell appeared to have somewhat changed his mind, saying: 'I haven’t ruled it out. If I knew I could be - how do I put this delicately - faithful, I would.</div>

'I do like kids, I’m just not sure I’d be any good for the first six months. I don’t think I’d adopt because I’d rather have my own. I’d have to say I’d like a little girl.'</div>

On Wednesday night, Lauren’s stepmother confirmed the baby news, calling it ‘beautiful’ and a ‘blessing’.</div>

Rosy Davis, who is the wife of Mrs Silverman’s father Steven, said: ‘We are all excited for the baby. It’s beautiful. We feel blessed. Any kid is a blessing.’</div>

<b>1. Jump at the chance to trash your former boss.</b><br />
“An interviewer will dislike you if you respond to the question, ‘What advice would you give your former boss, if asked?’” says Lee Evans, CEO and career coach at Free-Job-Search-Websites.com, adding that this is a trick question. “The interviewer will interpret your negative response as the answer you might give when asked about a manager at the interviewing company. It's also a test of your ability to respond appropriately to sticky questions. Your interviewer and prospective employer will side with your former manager, and view you as difficult to deal with.”<br />
<br />
Instead: Keep your responses professional and watch for trick questions.<br />
<br />
<b>2. Tell the interviewer what you would change.</b><br />
<b></b>Sometimes interviewers will ask you what you might change about a prospective employer, and it can be an opportunity to bring out some ideas you might have. But keep it constructive, and wait until they ask, says Ronald Kaufman, author and executive coach. “Telling them things you would change about their company is arrogant and implies you might be a disruptive employee,” Kaufman says. “As an outsider, you don’t know my needs, my budgets, my problems, and telling me what you would change is a major turn off.”<br />
<br />
Instead: Wait to offer suggestions until the interviewer asks for them, and even then, keep them brief and constructive while stressing that you know you don’t have all the information.<br />

<b>3. Comment on your interviewer’s appearance. </b><br />
Whether you like the way your interviewer looks or not, keep it to yourself. Even “well, you look nice today” is inappropriate, according to Evans. Commenting on how people look when you’ve just met them can be a signal that you aren’t concerned with social boundaries or are rude. Comments about appearance are on the “interviewer’s red flag list,” Evans says.<br />
<br />
Instead:   Keep social commentary to a minimum, and stick to safe and general topics, such as the weather or traffic, before you get into the interview.<br />
<b><br /></b>
<b>4. Denigrate the organization you’re applying to. </b><br />
Even when you want the job, it’s possible that things you say make it sound like you think you’re better than what the company deserves. “If you make it appear as though the organization where you are applying is not up to speed in terms of technology or that its facility is lacking, you will alienate the interviewer,” says Cheryl Palmer, a career coach. “You need to give the interviewer reason to believe that you are the best person for the job and that you really want to work there.”  <br />

Instead: Find ways to talk about how you’ll be a good fit for the company, rather than implying you’re a superhero for offering to help the organization out of a jam.<br />

<b>  5. Show up late. It’s a killer, no matter why it happens.</b><br />
 Showing up 10 minutes early is a common interview tip, but its importance cannot be overstated. “Tardiness shows one of two things: disrespect or poor planning, both of which are nonstarters for most hiring managers,” says Michael “Dr. Woody” Woodward, an organizational psychologist and author of “The YOU Plan.” Showing up late sets the tone for the rest of the interview, and you’ll have to be at the top of your game to come back from such a setback. </div>

So what constitutes a safe PIN number? A new study from DataGenetics lists the top 10 most-used PINs. And because they are the most commonly used PIN numbers, they are by default the least safe PINs.</div>

According to Forbes, the United States and Mexico are home to the greatest number of credit and debit card thefts around the globe. Forty-two percent of Americans say they have suffered from some form of card fraud, a study from Aite Group and ACI Worldwide shows.</div>

The Department of Justice says that about 10 percent of all Americans suffer from credit card fraud each year and another 7 percent have their debit cards hacked or stolen. More than $5.5 billion in theft is attributed to credit card fraud each year.</div>

The DataGenetics study says that credit and debit card thieves are able to successfully guess more than 25 percent of stolen card PINs within 20 attempts.</div>

And no surprise: the worst PINs are those that are overly simple or sequenced, i.e. “1234.”</div>

WTOP notes that the best PIN numbers are those “with no special significance.” And in the case of the study, DataGenetics said the least used PIN is “8068.”</div>

Siemens Chief Executive Peter Loescher is to leave the company, four years before the end of his contract, after the German engineering group this week issued its second profit warning this year.</div>

Siemens said in a statement late on Saturday that at a meeting on July 31, the supervisory board would pass the decision on Loescher's early departure.</div>

There have been persistent rumors over the past year that Kaeser, who was already on Siemens' management board when Loescher joined in 2007, had his eye on Loescher's job, though the two have repeatedly said they worked well together.</div>

Facebook Inc. (FB) did manage to surprise not just Wall Street and Main Street with its earnings report. It blew the numbers out of the water, and CEO Mark Zuckerberg is even proving to deliver on his ambitions to capitalize off of the ongoing and inevitable move of users to mobile away from desktops. Many analysts raised their price targets and estimates on Thursday after the report, but the independent research firm Argus came out and downgraded Facebook's stock to Hold from Buy in call that was outside of the Wall Street pack.</div>

24/7 Wall St. wanted to dig into this call to see if Facebook investors should take their profits now or if they should consider staying on this ride. Joseph Bonner of Argus pointed out that the main reason for cutting the rating to Hold is valuation after the big run-up in the stock price.</div>

Facebook shares rose nearly 30% intraday on July 25 after the company reported strong 2Q results, lifting the stock to the high end of our target valuation range. We prefer to exercise discipline by downgrading the shares rather than jumping on the momentum bandwagon. Our rating change is also based on management’s clearly delivered color on the second-quarter call. We think that Facebook is just beginning to reap the returns on its investments in mobile and new and targeted advertising products. Nevertheless, we expect its results to be highly variable in the coming quarters.</div>

That being said, Argus raised its 2013 EPS estimate to $0.63 from $0.51, and the estimate for 2014 went up to $0.81 from $0.69 per share. Also note that Argus is expecting that Facebook will get aggressive on its capital spending. But do not expect a dividend any time soon. The firm said, "We expect the company to resume aggressive investments in 2013, so free cash flow will likely be volatile. Facebook does not intend to pay a dividend in the near term."</div>

On the valuation front, Bonner points out that Facebook's stock price still trades 10% below its IPO price, and its enterprise-value/EBITDA multiple of 26 is well above the peer group median of 16.5. His two-stage discounted cash flow model points to a valuation range in the high $20s to mid-$30s, so the valuation downgrade based on a $34.36 share price was made.</div>
